Halloween 2021 - Essex

I was super excited to be invited to an organised shoot by Emma Churchyard, for this years Halloween.
There was a theme of witches coven, which for me, is always an exciting concepts as it can be so varied, but we actually decided to go down the modern witch vibe with elements of ‘The Craft’ thrown in.

The weather wasn’t on our side, as the sun decided to show itself in all its glory, luckily we were under the cover of trees to dampen the natural light enough to get by.

I opted to shoot with the intention of photoshopping the hell out of any selected images. This seemed a good idea until it came to the editing stage anyway!

90% of the shots i took in this shoot, were with 1 x AD200 in a small pop-up octabox. I wanted to try and create my own light source and shadows instead of competing with the constant dappled sunlight.

Gear: Sony A7iii / Sony 85mm / Tamron 28-75mm 2.8

Lights: 1 x AD200 / Pixapro small rice bowl softbox
