Candy girl - Braintree, Essex

Emma Churchyard put a call out on Facebook to see if anyone was interested in trying to create some Candy inspired portraits. Having not tried this specific type of shoot, i jumped at the chance and offered my services. We arranged with another photographer and a m.u.a to join us on the shoot and we booked a local studio that we knew would have all the space and equipment we would need to create this project.

Unfortunately with the outbreak of Covid-19, and through no fault of their own, the studio closed its doors on us 48hrs before the day of the shoot. We were in a dilemma, do we cancel this whole project or do we try and make it happen somehow. Luckily the photographer who was joining us, had a double garage available to shoot it. We fabricated a studio area and Emma and Vicky (MUA) did the best they could do with makeup and props considering the environment.

We all had alot of fun on this shoot, we danced, we took the mickey out of us all and all things considered, we managed to get a few keepers on the photo front!

Now i have experienced this type of shoot, i would 100% like to re-do it in the future. I understand where and what went wrong and right and know that the next time, the results will be alot better.
