The Cutting Box, Bocking
I was lucky enough to be hired by a local agency to produce some stylish shots of ‘The Cutting Box’ clients.
The Cutting Box is a small boutique hair salon based in the small village of Bocking in Essex. The brief was to supply imagery to cover their newly designed website and that meant coverage of the salon itself, styled shots of clients and staff photos.
With the space being very very limited, i opted to use a portable grey background and a beauty dish with reflector. For the white shots - i merely used an octobox as a background and then a beauty dish as key.
Working with restraints isn’t always the best but it can certainly bring the best out of you in terms of problem solving, plus sometimes it’s good to go back to basics!
